I use NewPipe on regular Android but read somewhere it wasn't recommended to be used on Android TV because it wasn't designed for it. If you vouch for it working fine then maybe I'll try it.

Now that's more like it. However for android Android (phone, tablet) I already have NewPipe I'm happy with. Does FreeTube work well on Android TV? I use SmartTube and it's good but it's not perfect.

It's annoying though that you can't save videos to lists or subscribe to channels without logging in to youtube account.

The CrowdStrike cyber event affected 8.5 million Windows machines and was the biggest IT outage in history. It has "beaten" even the cyber attacks of WannaCry and NotPetya.

Might be a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway... Would it be possible for the app to always show .jpg pictures instead of .webp? If I remeber correctly, if you upload a .jpg or .png file, Lemmy converts it to .webp. Can this be reversed in Sync?

It reportedly has the capability to translate languages in real-time during voice calls, video calls, and face-to-face. The feature is said to be better than language translation on Google's Pixel Buds as the former doesn't require an active internet connection.

 

I'm wondering what's the point of showing options (download, share etc.) when peeking (long-pressing) pictures if they are unresponsive? Am I missing something?

Is it possible to "peek & stay" instead of hiding a picture as soon as I stop pressing?

Settings shortcut: Media > Shown options when peeking
