Been trying to play Factorio with my gf and cousin, who both use ARM Macbooks. Via bitsearch I was able to find a couple Factorio torrents that include MacOS, but despite allegedly having seeders, I wasn't able to get the download to work (even with DHT enabled).

Does anyone know where I can find a working download link? To be clear, every torrent I found didn't actually have seeders when I put it into the torrent client. At least a few years ago, I was able to a cracked Factorio MacOS version.

(Windows version via Wine works on Linux, but not MacOS (even via Whisky). Installing Asahi is not an option, but an idea I entertained).

Just looking to pirate a good DAW to stick my toes in the water of music production. I have Reaper, but I want something with more sequencing features. I'd love FL studio, but am not picky. Sorry if I've committed a faux pas, this is my first time posting here. Thanks!

Hi all, I'm struggling to find a good source of fonts online, where do you find yours?

I'm talking about legit resources for people in the design field, not Google fonts or hasty web rips with half the amount of glyphs

Thanks!

(MAJOR UPDATE: ONLY 10 HRS REMAIN BEFORE SHUT DOWN AT TIME OF WRITING THIS UPDATE)

Hello everyone. For everyone who owns a 3DS, 2DS, or even a Wii U, I'm sharing this out to as many places I can think of, where the awareness can make an impact. Please read if you own a 3DS or Wii U at all, or know anybody who does:

The SpotPass servers by Nintendo will be shutting down on April 8th, 2024 (4PM PDT). The SpotPass Archival Project has been created by the 3DS and Wii U Homebrew modding community, to make sure as much SpotPass data as humanly possible is preserved for the foreseeable future and not lost forever in the coming few days. A huge amount of SpotPass content is essentially free DLC for various games and apps, and they could have been installed without your knowledge. They are not required for most games to play, but without their archival, many games will lose DLC content permanently and some features may no longer work. This archival project can only be made possible by the donations of any individuals owning a 3DS or Wii U (not a donation of money, but rather a donation of SpotPass data stored on your system)

This data can only be collected before April 8th. Any and all dumps made or sent after the end-date will be useless due to the nature of how the archive process works. The dump does not require you to have a modded or Homebrewed console, and can be done completely unmodded. All you need extra as an unmodded user, is a PC or laptop. There is also zero risk of having your console banned; so rest assured. The guides can be found here: https://spotpassarchive.github.io/#guides.

Update: For those who can't recall the difference, what we're archiving here is SpotPass, not StreetPass. The difference between the two are: StreetPass: Is a 3DS exclusive offline wireless tech which connects your 3DS to other systems and shares various bits of data with random people you pass on the street (in the real world). For example, in the game StreetPass Mii Plaza, the data sent to random passers are your Mii, along with your most recently played game, and your Mii can be played with in the various minigames that StreetPass Mii Plaza offers, and vice versa. SpotPass: Is an online wireless tech available on both the 3DS and Wii U. Unlike StreetPass, it does not connect to other 3DS systems directly, but rather connects to Nintendo's SpotPass servers online. The data sent could be anything from notifications, to in-game content. This is what we're archiving; not StreetPass data. Streetpass is not an online service, and thus does not lose content after April 8th; but SpotPass data will be lost after the 8th if it's not archived. Wikipedia article.

Even if you make the dump before April 8, and send it to them afterwards, the dump will be useless regardless, this is why we are frantically trying to spread the word about the project as quickly as possible, as there is a lot of data that is still going to go away permanently regardless of the efforts of this project. The data is stored offline locally on your 3DS and Wii U, so you may be confused as to why you can't just make the dump after the date. For a better explanation, here is a Discord message from the official Discord server which explains things. I am not a developer of the project, I'm just someone who is passionate about gaming and technology preservation, and wants to get this out there, and the 3DS was a wonderful part of my late childhood.

The data is going to be used by the developers to put towards developing a replacement for the SpotPass network, similar to what was done by the Homebrew community who created the Nintendo Network replacement, dubbed "Pretendo Network".

Even if you don't think you have much data on your system, please help dump it towards the archive as soon as possible (within the next couple of days), because you likely have some things you don't know about. The process does not require a modded console at all, and the official site here, has instructions for both users of modded consoles, and users of unmodded consoles. You can ask for help in the official Discord server of the project here and people will be very willing to help.

There are also many many niche, lesser known games, which have absolutely no data archived for them still to this day, so any help archiving them is vital. Thanks for reading, and I ask you to also share this out to as many people as you possibly can. Even if you don't own a 3DS or Wii U, please share this out to anyone you know who owns one, or even those whom you suspect might have one.

Edit: added some extra information, removed some no longer relevant information, fixed some typos, improved some wording slightly.

Hello everyone,

If this post isn't allowed by the rules, I will delete it. I'm trying to read this full article: https://www.libereta.it/spesa-cibo-sicuro/

But they ask me to buy a full year subscription and I have to read only this article. I've tried 12ft, Firefox reader mode and I've tried to paste it in archive.org but it doesn't work.

Is there any other way to access the full article?

Thanks everyone in advance

I didn’t have much luck with iptv as it buffers a lot and it’s not because of my broadband speed, I already have a satellite dish on my house and was thinking about making the use of it but I don’t know where to start.

I’m assuming I need to get a special box, maybe like this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354681753333?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=QTcb7QRmQpO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=2LCMph_nQpa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

But then I wouldn’t know what to do with it, do I need to get some decryption keys from somewhere every few weeks?

After a decade of being a law abiding citizen and paying customer of every streaming service between here and the moon, I’ve given it all up and come back to the high seas.
It’s all being split up between more and more services with ever growing prices.
If they make it hard to be a customer, I’d rather not be one.

So I grabbed myself a NAS, set up all relevant .ARRs and am torrenting again.
What trackers do you guys with experience recommend?
Are the free ones still good enough or do I need to cry my way into a private one?
The NAS is running 24/7 so I will be a good seeder, so if anybody has an invite to a good private tracker I’d be very happy to contribute to it.

Thank you in advance Gentlepeople!

Does anyone know of a site that I can use to stream live shows that are on streaming services like peacock? For example, the Dan Patrick show is live every day on there but a lot of the tv streaming sites I’ve found don’t have peacock or any other streaming service, just traditional tv channels

As Funimation drama unravels, here's a reminder for you that yt-dlp is able to download Funimation videos. Use that opportunity to preserve your collections before they're gone! (and keep them forever and ever)

Credits to humble [email protected] who brought that up!

So a bunch of people in this subreddit told me that uTorrent was trash and to switch to QBitTorrent.

I didn't think much of it. How could one be so much better than the other? They're both just torrent downloaders.

Holy shit was I wrong. I don't even really understand what is happening, but downloading torrents on QBitTorrent is so, so, so much faster and I don't even understand how.

A movie downloads in basically seconds compared to 10 or 20 minutes on uTorrent.

Why is this? What is this magic? What makes QBitTorrent so much faster?

I’m not sure exactly how police hunt down “illegal” activities on the Internet though, streaming pirated IPTVs without using any protection against ISPs is not a good idea I think. Do you use IPTV? If so, is your connection on a VPN or Tor (streaming on Tor would be a horrible experience though)?

Opening Notes (important stuff, please read)

This configuration of the Stremio app will allow you to stream movies/TV from most devices, with the exception being IOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad. If you want to stream from those devices, this guide is not for you.

You can use this Stremio configuration to stream movies/TV on most other platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android, FireOS (includes Fire Stick and Fire TV), Linux, AndroidTV, and even the Steam Deck.

However, the Stremio setup guide will require that you use a Windows, Mac, Linux, or Android device. Please don't attempt the setup steps on another device.

Additional information for FireOS (includes Fire Stick and Fire TV) and Linux devices is located below the Stremio setup guide, but you need to go through the Stremio setup guide beforehand with a required device (Refer to previous bullet point).

Stremio Setup Guide

Part 1: Stremio

For Windows/Mac users - Go to https://www.stremio.com/ and download the relevant client for your platform

For Android users - Install Stremio through the Google Play Store: Stremio - Apps on Google Play

Open Stremio and sign up with email or Facebook

Part 2: Real Debrid

Go to https://real-debrid.com/

Go to Premium Offers

Choose a package and subscribe. I found that using Amazon Pay as the payment method is the most convenient (if you have an Amazon account)

Part 3: Torrentio

Go to Torrentio Lite - Stremio Addon

Towards the bottom of the page, select the "Debrid Provider" option and select "Real Debrid" from the drop-down menu. This will cause a new text box to appear underneath.

Copy the API key from this link https://real-debrid.com/apitoken and paste it into the "RealDebrid API Key**"** box

In the Debrid Options menu: Check the box "Don't show download to debrid links" and leave the other boxes unchecked.

Click "Install" at the bottom. It should open the Stremio app and prompt you with an "Install Addon" window. Click the green install button at the bottom.

Optional but highly Recommended - In Stremio, click the puzzle piece in the top right to view your addons. Click "My Addons" and uninstall the "WatchHub" addon. It's an eyesore and it clutters your streams list.

Now that you have completed the setup, you may install Stremio on any device of your choice (excluding IOS) and log in to your account to start streaming Movies/TV. Refer to the section below for Stremio installation on FireOS devices (Fire Stick, FireTV).

FireOS devices (Fire Stick, FireTV)

After you have gone through the setup on another device, watch this video on how to install Stremio on your FireOS device https://youtu.be/U1o-scADuIg and then log into your account in the Stremio app. At this point you're good to stream. It will download everything that you just set up and sync your shows across all devices. However, some FireOS devices may not be capable of 4k streaming.

Edit 10/16/2023 - if you are on firestick, make sure to download the Android TV apk from the Stremio downloads section. The youtube video linked above was created before Stremio had an Android TV version. The UI is much improved over the base android UI for use on a smart tv.

Linux

At the time of making this guide, I had issues in the setup process on Linux but I'm pretty sure that was my fault for having weird defaults on my Arch install. You should be able to complete the setup process on Linux without issues and streaming is guaranteed to work. In the case that you run into issues, Just complete the setup steps on a recommended device first, then install and log into the Stremio app on your Linux device.

Additional information

YOU DO NOT NEED A VPN.

Account sharing: You should only share your Stremio account with people who are connected to the same WiFi network as you. If you do not follow this rule, your Real Debrid account may be suspended.

Bugs/Glitches:

Sometimes, an episode of a show or a movie will display "No streams found" even though it should be available. This has only happened to me a handful of times, but the problem will resolve itself eventually.

If the picture is black but the audio is still playing, you should go back and select a stream with a different resolution.

Issue: No streams are appearing at all, or none of them work. Here are the possible explanations:

Your Real Debrid Subscription has expired. Go to Real-Debrid and check your account status.

Real Debrid servers are down/undergoing maintenance. Wait an hour or so, and then try again.

You made a mistake while following the guide. My DMs are open if you can't figure it out. I'll probably try to help.

Credit to u/OnlyTheCruxes for most of this stuff because I kinda just copied their guide and added more detail based on my own personal experience with the setup process (Original guide: Installing Stremino + Torrentio + Real Debird )
