About 3 or 4 years ago PayPal added the option to buy cryptocurrency, which I thought I’d try. (Dumb idea 🙄)

Part of the sign up process was glitched. I retried and clicked submit one too many times, I guess. Now I’ve been unable to use PayPal for years. They blocked me because THEIR SITE was broken, but the web page essentially accuses me of being a criminal and asks for my bank records. No way in hell.

This was just for me to pay others. I can only imagine how awful PayPal is if you are a vendor.

Fuck PayPal.

I expected ridiculous propaganda from Adobe, but they give absolutely no reasons why Photoshop is better than Gimp and list a bunch of things that Gimp can do too.

They only mention Gimp a few times at the top and they never mention it again after:

How is Photoshop different from Gimp?

They ask a question they literally never answer.

They could have lied, they could have stretched the truth, they could have brought up the paltry number of things Photoshop does that Gimp can't. They never do. They never say what Gimp can or can't do.

Like I said, I expected ridiculous propaganda. I didn't expect them to just pretend Gimp doesn't exist in their article about Gimp.

In my view, this is unacceptable...

They changed my background (previously there was a default blue window), placed an icon in the bottom corner of the screen that read "Learn more about this photo", and re-added the search bar that I had previously removed.

Fortunately, I don't have to deal with this on a daily basis.

Just because a 3060ti is technically capable of ray tracing doesn't mean I want you to keep turning it on every time the driver gets an update.

Wow! New feature! Now you can CHOOSE how many paper towels you grab from the roll!

I would have expected them to ask me to message them, in order to resolve the issue of not having access to my old email. Instead, they assume that I still have access to it, by simply contacting my email provider!

If I could do that, I wouldn't have lost access to it through would I?

No, I don't want to design a logo for a coffee shop in fucking skype.

Every app has to have fucking AI now for some reason.

I might be stupid, but doesn't "double" mean there's more of it?

So I was shopping with my wife today and I said "oh let's see if my membership helps out." So we went and added the same item to each of our carts, and to our surprise, the total was the same! So what is it exactly that I'm paying for in this membership if the items "original price" is higher for me than it is for regular shoppers?

I've been using Brave Search supplemented by Startpage for the past 2+ years. When I search for something, I want to get results for credible webpages, not a summary of unknown quality. I liked the previous AI inclusion because it was instant, didn't take up much space, and I could quickly navigate to the websites referenced in it, but with the new feature it takes up more space, is slower, and not really what I want out of a search engine.

As soon as the feature was rolled out I disabled it in settings, but the AI button stays visible, I get autocomplete specifically for Answer with AI and I get frequent notifications to try out the new AI feature. An opt-out toggle should not mean that I still am pestered to use the feature I opted out of.

This is really annoying, and I'm probably going to end up switching to Startpage or SearXNG or something.

Some images (opted out of AI features):

Literally every single time I try open their app, I get asked to click the button again to verify that I am indeed human.

On top of that, it doesn't always work for some mysterious reason, occasionally it ends up short circuiting and looping for a while before showing me the prompt again, and only lets me in on the second or third attempt.

I do realize that since I AM using a VPN to access it, I might be seeing this prompt more frequently than others, but many other sites use the same CloudFlare protection mechanism and I have yet to see one that shows me the prompt as frequently as OpenAI does.

Just thought it's funny because it's literally a bot asking me to verify that I'm not a bot.

Went to Google Play to complain about Hulu. I noticed Google advertising that over 300 reviews had the verbatim quote "watch and movies that you love". It's always confusing that buggy corporate apps have >95% 5 star reviews until you see that the majority are just completely fake, and no one cares or is doing anything about it.

I use ProtonMail as my primary e-mail client. For some reason, I cannot get to ProtonMail to verify an e-mail that I used to register elsewhere. I keep getting the hourglass on Firefox. So I go a try Chrome and it's the same deal.

Of all of the browsers, Microsoft Edge immediately got me there whereas before hand, Firefox didn't have a problem. But it seems like today, it decided to shit the bed as well as Chrome on getting me to a place I regularly log into every day of the week.

I don't get it and it's stupidly frustrating at times. This is applicable for when things you've used for so long just stop working.
