Boss fights, with long animation locks, to get RNG loot drops to fight harder bosses, with some non boss fight content sprinkled in every now and again.

Long animation locks gave it away?
Everything else, actually, since at first I didn't know what was causing the animation locks. I'm a fighting game player so moves are described differently for me.
