yeah, it's an AA slogan, and a stupid self-contradictory one, too (like a lot of things in AA/NA). like, i guess i should never practice anything expecting to improve? so much for my piano lessons and weight training!
I flipped a coin and it came up heads. If I flip the same coin I should expect the same result apparently.
how dare you try, try again if at first you don't succeed! give up and let god!
Also, do the steps over and over again no matter how many times you relapse!
But if you're improving then you're not doing the same thing over and over, you're doing it different / better each time.
