And so what if he did? Are democrats going to start shaming crossdressers now?!
I mean, I won't vote for him either way (I'm voting 3rd party), but I am seeing a lot hypocrisy in the comments.
Shaming hypocrites who want to punish others for doing what they themselves did sounds perfectly reasonable
So let me get this straight: When Republicans shame and name-call, it's horrible and -phobic. But when Democrats do it, it's out of revenge and just pointing it out, so it's ok.
So you guys can do it, but they can't.
Ok, good to know. This is why I won't be voting Democrat. Or Republican. Because both parties really ARE the same. Thank goodness for 3rd parties!
There is a time and a place for n-parties in this crappy political environment we are subject to, but this election is simply not it. Voting green or indie in this election dramatically increases the chances of there being only a single viable party for all future "elections" from here on out.
It's easy to get jaded, but it's best to push Republicans out of the picture and foster a more progressive green party in future elections.
Nothing sustainably good happens quickly in politics, but conversely, our actions in this election can have abrupt, and irreversible consequences.
I'm not telling to to sit this one out or whatever - you do you, but I do ask you to think of what party you are actively trying to cannibalize and then consider the fallout that may be blowing our way.
Oh, and for conversations sake, I don't care about this shame game they are playing right now. This is trivial nit-picking and neither newsworthy nor thread-worthy. Both sides, sure, whatever. There are greater topics like democracy, human rights, voter rights, labor rights etc that are on the table and this "both sides' nonsense doesn't not hold up.
Which is the same thing that have said for the last 50 years. Every single election, it's variations of. "Oh yes, there needs to be change. But not THIS election. THIS election is too important!
50 years. So no, not believing that anymore. The time to do what I believe in is right now.
Ok what about all the years that Democrats have been in office? Clinton was two terms. Obama was two terms. And all the ones before that? No, fam. Not trusting that any more.
Good, cuz I'm NOT sitting this one out. I'm voting for the party I believe in. The Green Party. And I'm not "actively trying to cannibalize" any party. What? How on earth are you getting that I am doing that, by me voting for the party I believe in?!
I'm voting for Jill Stein. Because I like her. Because I like her values. That's it. No grand conspiracy. I'm voting for who I want to. As is my right.
Agreed. Why people are focusing on this or the couch or calling people "weird" or whatever is beyond me. People, we have REAL issues to deal with. And both parties are scraping as low as they can to fling some mud. It's crazy. lol
