Would someone please tell me how to install the new Thunderbird version on Manjaro?

Thanks!

in a terminal

sudo pacman -Syu

Followed by

sudo pacman -S thunderbird

You can skip the first command if you did that recently.

I haven't seen version 115 yet in the Arch repos. Does Manjaro have it yet?

If the Arch repos don't have it yet, it's not in Manjaro then either.

It is however in the AUR - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages?O=0&SeB=nd&K=thunderbird-bin&outdated=&SB=p&SO=d&PP=50&submit=Go

Do you have an AUR helper such as yay or paru installed?

When I did a yay -Ss thunderbird, I was not seeing 115. I ended up just downloading it from thunderbird.net.

Funny. I did a pacman -S thunderbird and it did not come up with the new version.

https://repology.org/project/thunderbird/versions

It was recently added to arch and then manjaro unstable. It'll make its way to manjaro testing soon and eventually the stable channel.

If you want it now, there's the thunderbird-bin package in the aur.

cool, I think I am gonna wait then. Other people told me Manjaro doesn't work well with AUR

Maybe you should consider listening to different people.

That ain't right at all...

Since I don't see it in the Arch repo, I am guessing you can just download the Linux binary from thunderbird.net

Gotcha, do you know how I could install it like an update to the current installation. I mean using all my settings

It will use your current profile with settings automatically
