Best thing is how Facebook loves to shove those posts in your face.

"REMEMBER THIS POST FROM 2011???"

No, I didn't, and I don't appreciate the reminder.

The best thing is deleting Facebook.

I would, but it's the only way I can keep in touch with the rescue my dog came from, and the most convenient way to keep in touch with my sestra.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Presumably, based on your post, you have; but have you ever contacted the rescue from which you got your dog? Other than maybe medical questions - and that only for a short period - I don't think I've ever talked to a rescue after getting any pet from them.

What's a sestra?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Oh yeah, I'm in touch with the staff there, and other people who have adopted from the rescue. They're doing great work. They sometimes have events and meetups, even here in my country.

My sestra is my adopted sister.

Fair enough. Thank you for the edification.

I had one memory that was just me saying cunt. . They were right tho, it did brighten my day being called a cunt by my past self, its usually the other way around.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Heck it brightened my day too, so I guess it hits right every so often!

No this is the look you get when re-reading the code you wrote as a grad...with the perspective of 15 years experience.

I was showing a new person examples of good and terrible code....they asked who wrote the code, I said that both were me about 13 years apart. It turns out that experience matters and you get better over time.

Some people get better over time.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

This is very true

I was a borderline neo-nazi 9 years ago, I literally cannot do this because I scrubbed all evidence of those times. Being a socially isolated white male teenager can do things to you.

I'm proud of you for having turned things around!

I'm cringing harder at the fact that kids born the same year I made my account are now 17 years old. 👴

How do you reach your friends mostly?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] -1 points 4 months ago

Right...

Oh, you mean SMS?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 months ago (2 children)

People still log into Facebook?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Not me anymore for past few years but I bet there’s lots of cringe shit from 2009

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It’s mostly just promoted content from people you don’t know and ads now.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

That's 100% true and you also are 100% well aware that millions of people still use it every day.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I wonder how that company even still exists.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Still billions of users, we're just not the target market anymore

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago

First!

Am I doing it right?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

It means you've grown as a person!

I was just there for the games it had back then. I remember when Farmville was called Farm Town, and I was addicted to it as a kid lol

So much clicking.
