Lawrence O'Donnell: “I have never seen an industry slower at learning from its own stupid mistakes than the American news business, and you cannot expect them, in the next 89 days to figure out what they have not been able to figure out in nine years.”

In the video, Lawrence O'Donnell argues that there is some sort of 'kid-glove treatment' (that's my word) for Trump. He doesn't answer reporters' questions in that his statements doesn't reflect what they have asked, even if it's a simple yes-no question.

Trump is ignoring questions by default, and he does that in a very weird way. A typical Trump 'answer' is completley unrelated to the question, and often doesn't make sense at all. However, the reporters seem to accept that.

At the same time, however, they criticize Biden/Harris and now Harris/Walz of not responding adequately to media questions, although they do.

The video is really worth everyone's time, but the content has nothing to do with the issues raised so far on this thread.

Didn’t watch the video.

However , the media will put profits over the betterment of humans every single time.

We need to get the media/news outlets to stop with “opinions” ( which is like 90% of news ) and simply report the facts and fact checking.

Be the fourth branch of government we the people need.

Presumably about how they gave him so much air time in 2016 as a weird sideshow? I’m not watching a 24m video. Can anyone please summarize?

It is 15min and well worth watching. The 2nd half is the Harris/Walz event at the UAW Hall in Michigan. The thing O'Donnel says the news SHOULD have been showing instead of Trumps nonsensical ramblings at softball questions.
