I mean, yes, the couch thing is funny, and it's been a while since Democrats have celebrated a good old fashioned nothing burger (something the right does far too often -- some of them are still not over the transvestigation of that one Olympic boxer -- and it's about time we fought fire with fire), but it's kind of run its course, hasn't it? I feel like we're beating a dead horse here.

I sort of agree with you. It's entering "That One Joke" territory.
I think the reason this joke gets so much play is because it annoys the Republicans and it's been a long time since the Democrats have been able to rally around a joke that annoys them.
Sort of like zippers on couch cushions.
