I’d be completely cool if the they slowed down a bit and do two year release cycles.

You are right, but: if you are Apple, you want to create the impression that you are way ahead of them all (after all, you are always asking inflated prices everywhere, and you want them accepted upfront, not justify them with lame excuses). And in the last years, their software didn't exactly shine in that field. So I guess they feel quite some pressure.

Slow news day? You could apply this to any company.

I want Apple to instead take awful care of the next update and it's riddled with bugs and makes me want to buy the next iPhone.
