From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I have reinstalled appindicators and I love them. Can I autostart apps to the tray?

e.g. flatpak run chat.schildi.desktop

I don't remember Yoda in Morrowind.

You must be kidding; Yoda was one of Morrowind's key characters, alongside Teela, Master Bindo, Mister Rogers, and Maiq the Squid (complete ensemble pictured below).

The app itself has to support it, and even then those options can be hit or miss.

I thought Gnome got rid of the tray.

Anyways, this probably depends on the application. You'd have to find out if there is a command line option in the application to start it minimised or in tray.

thanks! I just found a source which states the same that the app has to support it. There's no universal command.

Yes, just add it to your startup apps

Only if the application has a "start minimized" option, or something similar. I know Bitwarden has it.

There should be a command line option for it
