Some researchers and community leaders suggest Canadaβs colonial history and recent discoveries of potential burial sites at former residential schools may have lit the fuse.
Hmm.. That or Canada has suddenly developed a thriving Black Metal scene.
Well, either way, it would be for very similar reasons.
That is pretty messed up.
I know, right? Why didn't god stop his tax exempt extortion businesses from burning down?
God willed it.
While I understand the anger at the residential system I wouldn't go and burn the buildings down. My mom is a residential school survivor and I'm sure it was a significant factor that affected that side of my family in various (negative) ways. I still wouldn't go and burn down the church.
