Ok, so what’s your question…?

I completely agree, but it reaches a point quite quickly that mirrors the idea of “snowflake.” I’m not saying you need to be polite but it’s a lot better at reaching an audience when you don’t insult them. We don’t need to respect someone to talk to them neutrally. They’ve already stopped to Russian asset, you have nothing to gain by stooping to their uniformed, insult level of commentary.

“You disagree with me, that’s literally only possible if you’re Russian or paid”

Genuinely, do you believe Russia or handlers would be interested in an anon account shilling on fucking lemmy?

What in this post disagrees with reality?

It’s not very helpful when you resort to the infantile text line you did at the end. Started off strong but insulting the person you’re disagreeing with will only encourage them to disagree more. I do agree with the sentiment though.

“You disagree with me so much you must be a Russian asset” is getting really, really old. I do commend you for leaving out “bot,” though.

Cue*: “this is the most important election of our lifetime”

You have to remember that a large swath of (generally) younger people are wildly misinformed/uninformed on the actual power of the presidency. They have the idea that the president can universally override all powers of the other branches at any given time and/or that both other branches will be captured (conveniently while a given dictator-to-be is in office) in a significant enough way that whatever piece of legislation the president outrightly wants, they will receive.
