Preach!

These are people who can't be bothered to write things down, because that takes effort.

Pretty much anyone can read at least 4x faster than someone can speak.

There's a place for video, 98% of YouTube isn't it.

Agreed.

No audit...then we don't know.

Have you seen an audit for SwissCows' Teleguard?

I've been testing it for a few days now, after a comment about it here.

They claim to not store your chats, they're deleted after delivery. To sync a new device requires an encrypted backup from an existing device.

I've tested this by restoring a backup from yesterday to sync a new device, and it only has data from yesterday.

That said, I really don't know how trustworthy they are.

I've used it, on Windows

Grayjay seems to be more stable than NewPipe

Let it go.

Seriously. That's the answer. Don't worry about the interview. Just see it as another conversation.

I the end, interviews are no better than picking names out of a hat, this from research done by Harvard some 20+ years ago.

Yea, because non-free-markets don't require people to get along?

I mean really, we don't need an entire article to explain how encryption works on Telegram.

  1. Chats by default aren't fully e2e. Your key must be kept on the server(s) to enable instant sync with other devices

  2. There is a full e2e chat, you can enable this at any time. But, it doesn't do groups, it's only between 2 parties, and it doesn't sync across devices.

  3. Telegram's encryption isn't open source, so no one can verify it's soundness or risks.

None of this is new info, it's been talked about for 2 years now.

Exactly.

Piracy was "tolerated", because it stole money from competitors.

Even if a pirate lied and only turned over some of the booty to the crown, it still took it from their enemies.

Ouch, damn, that's dark. I'll give ya the upvote, cause you're gonna get a lot of the other kind.

And let's be clear, corporations have been doing this since well before the US existed, or does no one remember Britain's history?
