This is all just taking correlation and applying causation. Right next to headlines about doom spending and people not being able to save in the first place. An extra thousand dollars a year won't do anything to really improve anyone's life situation, but it can buy a fun Christmas.

You know what would be a great Christmas? Being able to buy a house. Not having $800 a month in student loan payments. Being able e to do anything to actually advance in life.

But they don't measure anything related to improving quality if life, because they don't want you saving. They want you spending every penny and staying poor.

Maybe not bomb hospitals and apartments? Funnel fleeing civilians through active combat zones? Maybe not force Palestinians off of their properties?

Hamas is committing atrocities that are par for the terrorism course. We should t expect them to play by the rules.

Isreal is a globally recognized and sanctioned government, committing genocide and war crimes.

Both sides need to stop.

But the ship is believed to hold 11 million gold and silver coins, emeralds and other precious cargo from Spanish-controlled colonies, which could be worth billions of dollars if ever recovered.

Fucking dumbass.

Umm..... look the fuck around? All cops are bastards. Mental health facilities aren't better. I was a kid in a couple, and worked at one myself. There are good staff, yeah, but there's also a 99% fucking chance that every kid will encounter a bad one. And there's a lot of bad ones. If youre lucky theyre lazy and just neglect you. Others have little patience and are likely to yell and chastise during an incident. They'll do vindictive little things to mentally ill children because theyve had to write an incident report. They'll taunt and goad kids into being aggressive. They'll ABSOLUTELY make all kinds of disparaging comments about the kids.

I have seen it all, far too often. Its absolutely rampant.

He has autism. It affects the brain in very specific ways for each individual, but in general Executive function is the first thing to go when in stressful situations. You know, emotional regulation and self control? And I also guarantee that the cops and guards were treating him like shit. They LOVE picking on disabled people. I have no doubt most of the charges and incidents were exacerbated by the people in charge.

Do you any other arguments other than calling other people emotional? No? Doesn't seem like it lol.

I think we do still disagree if you're still insisting she should have been forced tk have an abortion. It was her choice. The fuck don't you people understand about that?

And comparing a woman's choice to have an abortion vs getting a vaccine is an incredibly flawed argument. Babies aren't contagious. And no, I'd never hold someone down and force a vaccine. You seem to think someone should have forced this woman to terminate the baby.

You are still vilifying her for making her own personal choice. Shame on you. Doesn't matter if it was against medical advice or not.

"Just switch jobs" is such an entitled attitude. There are so many reasons people can't just change. So many employers who can't or won't negotiate.

Fuck off.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 9 months ago

What are those reasons? What precedent does it set?
