We have the Carolina Ren Fest in october-November. But we are also trying to make a series of comedy videos in a monty python style, which will give me. More opportunity to wear my stuff lol.

I cut myself out from the original background because the backdrop sucked. Wanted the focus to be the armor.

Right? Love the armored but lightweight look of it. Absolute perfect battle mage look.

Inspiration armor

No potions, cloaks, hoods, baubles. Just trying to see how the surcoat will lay with my breastplate and what mods I'll need to do to achieve the lay of the blue surcoat seen in the inspiration armor.

Here's a comment I made explaining it with example pictures too!

Woohoo

The helmet is currently in the basement. Waiting for the base cost to dry before I can finally start weathering!

The armor is full steel. I have just painted it to look worn and "experienced"

Can't strap the breastplate solo without longer straps lol.

Fun fact, the breastplate isn't small, solitary breastplates are sized like this so the wearer stoll has full range of motion. If it was any longer you wouldn't be able to bend or lean.

Jammies are also on. Couldn't be bothered to change into my trousers.

speaking of legs, I made arming points for the leg harness and they work GREAT!

This Wenzel bascinet isn't my main helm for this fit even though it would be more historically accurate to this style of armor.

My armet just isn't finished and painted yet, but that will be my main.

Also omitted is the maille skirt I have on order and the cloth layer of the armor.

Just wanted to see how everything sized up.

Looks much better.

Widened the eye slits with a rotary tool and the initial sanding and priming are done.

Now more sanding, bondo and sanding and priming etc.

I'm already working on modifying it.

I added the nasal between the eyes in the visor.

Adding a plume holder soon, a strap and will be painting it to match the rest of my armor.

Very happy with it!

Incredible year. Any questions, or anything, feel free to ask!

This time my armor was heavily inspired by Elden Ring, including the cerulean and crimson flasks.

I've named this iteration Astor the Tarnished.

Here are a couple more pics
