I use hard linking to manage my library. It's far from ideal, because the actual files are still stored in the jumbled shit show of files that is my downloads folder. But at least it let's me browse an ordered library of file names.

Ryzen 3000 series CPUs are still sold as new, I even bought one six months ago, they're no where near being classified as "old", they're hardly 5 years old. And this is not only an issue for already infected systems because uninfected systems will intentionally be left vulnerable.

No they are just choosing not to roll out the fix to a known issue, which is screwing customers over on purpose (to increase profits). It's not a matter of goodwill, they sold a product that then turned out to have a massive security flaw, and now they don't want to fix even though they absolutely could.

They are 100% not patching old chips intentionally by not allocating resources to it. It's a conscious choice made by the company, it is very much "on purpose".

They broke all the time and you had to wiggle them often because of shoddy connectivity.

MicroUSB is absolutely one of the worst connectors ever designed, perhaps only surpassed by the SCART connector.

Wish it had an Ethernet option, not sure how that would work on a door though

You'd just run a cable to the door from the hinge side, preferably inside the door through the hinge so it's not visible on the door itself. This is a very common solution for electronic locks in office buildings for example.

Is it really a massive inconvenience? I would hardly even call it a minor inconvenience. I get a notification maybe twice per week that there are updates pending, and I just accept them in bulk. Your life must be absolutely perfect and ridiculously easy if that simple infrequent action can be classified as a massive inconvenience.

There are much more annoying things when de-googling and using graphene OS than this IMO. This hardly even registers as annoying. Not being able to use my government 2FA app or NFC payments, now that is massive inconvenience.

What a bummer, I used the disposable CCs with revolution a decade ago and was thinking of going back to it...no point if they're not usable anymore.though.

So you're saying there is a chance...

Yeah it doesn't really seem provide any useful functionality.

Think of how well people treat public transport they all depend on...now that place is your car and people are alone and unsupervised. You're going to spend a large amount of time and money keeping the car from being a trashed mess.
