Just saw a post about this on TikTok and every one in the comments where cracking jokes and basically saying it was good she died. Couldn't believe it. Whether or not you agree with how she ran YouTube, there's no reason to be so cruel to a parent who died just after having to bury their own child. Glad Lemmy is being more thoughtful and respectful about this horrible situation.

Since people are sharing their weather apps, I use Breezy Weather! Multiple sources, lots of info, FOSS, what's not to like. I tried multiple sources untill I found one that was the most accurate for me.

Wow they blocked wine? That sucks wow. I bet that means Steam Deck compatibility is a no go now too huh. That really is too bad.

Haven't personally used it but I heard there is a native Roblox client for Linux called Grapejuice. Might be worth looking into to solve one problem. I have no idea if it's good or not but here's a link: https://brinkervii.gitlab.io/grapejuice/

Skate fan here, why are we included? Skate 3 may be the one most of the community plays, but I think most skate fans agree one and especially two are good games in their own right. In my opinion skate 2 is just a more stylish version of skate 3 really.

This looks really fascinating. Looks like this may have some more features that I need for my Stream Deck compared to other ones for it on Linux. Might have to hope on a Live USB and check it out. Thanks for sharing!!

I did take a look at that once before and it didn't quite have all the features that I use daily on my Stream Deck, but thanks for linking to it! Maybe I should take a look again since it's been a year or so.

There are three things holding me back from making the switch full time, I use a stream deck from Elgato for automating a lot of tasks, I stream VR titles from Steam, and I have an Nvidia graphics card.

I feel like this group of people are the kind that would already be on Linux though. If you're that anti Microsoft why be on any version of Windows when such a great suitable replacement that also still works on these older systems exists?

Spider-Man 2, it's was the cookie cutter definition of a safe sequel. More of the first game, but marginally bigger and better. Combat felt improved, web wings made traversal more fun, story was taken up a notch (though I still think I prefer the first games overall). I kinda just felt like my time with the game was a little too short for seventy dollars. Honestly just another couple side quest lines would have been enough to make it reach the playtime that I would have expected. I did really enjoy it. It is a better game than the first one. 16hrs is just a little too short for this kind of game I think. I am very hopeful for the DLC and I'm really happy with where they took the story. I need to go back and complete the collectathon stuff, but I have seen some of the Spider Shots you get for them and I'm not super interested really. Most seven out of ten game I have finished this year.

Hello everyone! Things have slowed down quite a bit over on Gift of Gaming, so I thought I would post about it on here to get some more eyes on it. We are a community dedicated to hosting Video Game giveaways! You can come join for a chance to win some games, or if you're feeling generous you could always host a giveaway too!

Right now I am personally doing a giveaway for Doom Eternal, and I hope that by giving away a bit more of a substantial release I can bring in some new people to the community. A lot of our previous giveaways had no one enter, so we had to close them and keep the unredeemed keys.

If hosting or winning giveaways for video games sounds interesting to you, we'd love to have you join in. Many more giveaways are planed for the future. I have 300 keys that I have been holding onto from Humble Bundles over the years, so there just might be a game in there you might want. Thanks for listening!!

I'm just curious what you folks think. The whole idea of the Fediverse seems to go against everything Meta has stops for with their existing platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

What are they after? Are they going to try and infiltrate it so they can get people's data and content? Are they trying to monetize it? It just doesn't add up. I feel like most people on the Fediverse already would agree that we don't want Meta's platforms to access our content.

Please excuse my ignorance if it doesn't work like I think it does. I'm relatively new to the Fediverse myself.
