i love love love origins and da2, i have da2 tattoos, but i don't know if I'd really recommend them. dai is overambitious and less well written than the other 2. I would give them all a shot but not feel bad about bouncing off the combat and graphics of any of them.

I haven't seen official sourcing on it yet but apparently a QAnon guy got suspended for posting notoriously bad child sexual abuse materials and then Musk reinstated the account. I'm frankly afraid to look it up because I don't want to see the materials. https://twitter.com/faineg/status/1684329030500098048?t=747mnnSVncGD8OBd0Vhddg&s=19

Hey, remember when the author of this piece falsely accused a political opponent of sexual violence in an attempt to discredit him? I remember!

So I take pieces of murrine (glass rods with patterns in them) and position them in a trio shape, then I fire them to about 1450F so they round out and fuse together. Then I let them cool (they go through an annealing phase too but that's just hanging out at 900 for an hour) and attach a bail (the silver loop) to them.

I had a really difficult weekend and didn't sleep much last night, but I did sell a piece of jewelry that I'm really proud of yesterday, so that's a bright spot.

Hey beehaw. I'm here after years of being on Twitter, and I know a lot of y'all are on Lemmy/the fediverse after spending a lot of time on there or reddit.

I'm wondering: does anyone have any tips for coping with the lack of ambient awareness of what's going on in the world after you lose your main information source? I used to get a vague idea of what was going on on Twitter, with on the ground reports on things like protests from people who were there. Now that is, for the most part, gone.

I'm both looking for tips on dealing with having less information-- the fact is that I don't need to know as much as I did-- and help with finding emotionally healthy ways to keep up with news, some of the time. I'm also happy to hear about other people's experiences with this kind of thing happening in the past; I'm sure some of y'all have been through this before.

When I was a kid I thought the quarter machines at the laundromat literally transmuted your dollar bills into quarters. What's something silly you believed as a kid?
