Wtf is wrong with people who are pedos. There must be some chemical imbalance that we should be able to fix by the time kids are 10 and never become pedos. I mean it's wishful thinking but damn it's 2024!
So how can one protect themselves from this type of attack, or does responsibility lie on the vendors to keep up with security updates?

He will never go to jail. He's too "big" and doing so will probably set off the Jan. 6 nut jobs. At best he will get a fine, probation, house arrest, etc. Sad state of affairs in the US. However, if he does get sentenced to go to jail that would be a wonderful surprise.
