This is a very intelligent response. I'd also add that people are smart in different ways. I met a dude who is a flat earther which is pretty dumb in my opinion but he knew a lot of disc golf technique and could talk intelligently about music all day.

I'm a fan of Joe Rogan as a UFC commentator. He should stick to that.

I'm not freaked out by tap water in general, I just hate that it usually tastes like chlorine or whatever chemicals are added to prevent it from making me sick. I love water from the tap if it's from a well and tastes like water. All the tap water in Iceland tastes amazing, the water in Philly not so much.

I came here to say the same thing. When someone close to you dies it's painful, but that's still not heartbreaking. When someone you love chooses not to be with you anymore, it's on another level. I hope to never experience heartbreak again.

ATF needs to enforce the laws on the books, they don't have the authority the make rulings and they certainly shouldn't be shooting people's dogs.

Why is the court asking the ATF to explain anything? The ATF shouldn't be making any decisions, they should be enforcing the laws.

Not even in Ghostbusters?

I will definitely admit to speaking loudly (even other Americans say I'm loud) and being super talkative. I can see how being loud might be annoying, but it seems like the local population of Iceland has a pretty good solution for dealing with overly talkative Americans which is to just not engage by being polite and respectful but very curt.

I noticed the same thing. Leading up to this trip everything I read made me believe that the local population loved tourists but I don't think that's actually true.

Tourism is a huge part of their economy so on a macro level it's great for their economy but on an individual level it seems like many hate having such a huge number of tourists. I don't know if that's true for tourists from all countries though.

In Iceland there are plenty of awful non-American tourists too. In Canada and Alaska I encountered bad Canadian tourists. It sounds like you just don't like Americans.

I don't need the fridge but I'll definitely take the pictures!
