Clearly, based on your responses, you don't think AI/LLMs are universally bad. And anyone who is that easily swayed by what is essentially a clever shitpost likely also thinks the earth is flat and birds aren't real.

You know. Morons.

I appreciate it <3

If cats looked like frogs we'd realize what nasty, cruel little bastards they are. Style. That's what people remember.

Edit: FYI this is from Terry Pratchett's Lords and Ladies, the same book that OP paraphrased

"I took out a grenade. He [his comrade] said, "Let's do it." We hugged each other, threw it on the ground and said some last warm words to each other. The comrade also has a leg wound.

It sounds like they were standing, dropped the grenade at their feet, and were hugging each other. The hug would possibly reduce some damage to center mass, and it sounds like both have injuries to the legs. If the grenade rolled away that would increase survivability. It also sounds like the interviewee took the brunt of the damage.

But don't listen to me, the closest I've come to a grenade is a Chipotle burrito with bad arvo

Unless these are actual conscientious objectors. They won't take a life, even if they die as a result. It's a moral stand, and one I respect

Dunno about first, but the top of the list is Zero Hour, as part of an Airplane! marathon

As one of nature's pedestrians, I'll never trust a creature that looks at me with it's teeth. Even I could tell you those bastards are plotting something all of the time

for hundreds of thousands of years.

Just how old are you!?

So i know this is just a joke, but I imagine the simulation limits one's options to those present in the room. If she wants to send someone more likely to survive, like Data, there would be a roadblock:

  • Not enough time to get there from the bridge
  • Site to site transporter is down
  • Spot ate Data's communicator badge
  • Data is commanding the saucer section in another sector
  • Data is on Risa hooking up with Sela

Something limits the options to those in the room. Georgi is the most qualified, and time is short

Neat! Thank you ^_^

A little into about me. I'm in my mid-forties, I live in Ohio, USA, and am on Medicaid. I suspect I have either ADD or ADHD but I can't get diagnostic testing covered by Medicaid. What can I do to get testing or treatment? There are lots of "in-network" providers, but every time I get the focus to try and make an appointment no one answers their phones, or they're not taking new patients, or they're not in network after all. I'm so so so tired
