@flamingo_pinyata

This is such an underrated comment. Linux hates, hates, hates NVidia. I've spent ~24 hours trying to get two applications running, both of which consistently complain about my GPU and Hardware Acceleration.

@MattBoySlim

I always, always hope that its good, but unfortunately 8/10 times, it tends to be a disservice to the franchise.

Could you imagine a Metal Gear TV / movie adaptation? I can't imagine anyone could ever make that a descent representation of not only the content, but the people who are invested in it too, but I would love more than anything to be proven wrong.

@nerdschleife

@valentino

Eek I just finished installing Manjaro to test it out.

@MattBoySlim
Its crazy to me how companies can keep writing up these TV show adaptations, and get away with it.

90% of your target audience doesn't want anything to do with it, and yet you keep making it.

Wild.

@Ozzy Exactly what I was thinking. Kind of a PiTA if everyone needed to do that, but maybe an excuse to throw up an open-source script on github for it.

@Ozzy @rtxn I just thought of this, could one, create symbolic links that point to /lib (for ex.) to "repoint" the directory a package gets installed to?

Not sure if this would work, but was curious if someone's attempted it before.

@bear
Thank you for the very clean and clear explanation. I'll have to give them another chance.

@Linuturk @PseudoSpock My problem here is that I don't understand the purpose of flatpak when Deb seems to have everything from my experience, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
