Yes, but you sometimes get an IP that forces you to do the captcha, so it's like 50/50 - not a full solution. You can try it

Sometimes when I use warp it just lets me through, but that's a lottery.

Instead of implied like they don't use USD anymore, but it's more like "in addition to using mostly USD still"

Currently the title of the post and the article are not the same

Between May and July of this year, Bolivia conducted financial operations amounting to 278 million Chinese yuan ($38.7 million), which accounts for 10% of its foreign trade during that period

The post title is misleading

An Apple laptop doesn't have replaceable RAM or storage because they want to upcharge on those items.

The average laptop is okay, but ports are soldered. Framework ports are all USB C internally so you actualy customize what you want and they can be plugged and unplugged

Screens are often glued on as well. But the killer feature is upgradable mobo and GPU. Nobody has supported a new generation of GPUs, if they come out with RDNA 4 upgrade for the current gen that will be a first in decades.

They already succeeded with a mobo upgrade so you could have bought an 11th gen Intel and changed to AMD or 13th gen

I like brave search because it uses its own index

Yes, my laptop is ten years old. It doesn't support nvme and its HDD is dying. I need a new one. I'm not going to throw money on a 5000 series Intel laptop with a GPU that has been out of order for five years.

It can't handle AV1 decode even in software. It supports 4K, but not actually fast enough to play back videos in this resolution.

The HDMI port is half broken. Even if I upgraded the other parts, I'm not going to solder a new port.

I also want to support Framework and their goal of repairable and upgradable laptops

That's why the long term solution is not using Ubuntu

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

This is not true, I desnapped my Ubuntu and pinned Firefox to use the repo. You can do that for any software to force Ubuntu not to install snap.

That's the problem with the Ubuntu model. I'm using stable Wine with other unstable packages in NixOS because I can. I don't have to choose a version, since dependencies are not installed globally

I want my framework laptop, and I'm considering waiting for a faster RDNA 3 mobile chip. They are currently all powered limited rx 7600 chips
