Project Zomboid. That’s the most recent game I can think of where I reduced the difficulty (and that’s coming from someone that has nearly 400 hours into Elden Ring). It’s not that the game is tougher than ER or anything like that. It has a ton of cool mechanics and detail that are really enjoyable if you’re into zombie survival games, but the zombies can really swarm you in that game and you won’t live long.

It also has sandbox mode where there’s no zombies and you can focus on farming, building, etc.

Hey, I’ll take any ceasefire at this point. If she goes through with it, I’m all for it. But history doesn’t make me optimistic, and she’s using the same 2 state solution stuff we’ve heard before and it sounds like appeasement.

The US has gone so deep on this venture that backing out risks basically everything. Members of the Knesset have already stated that if Netanyahu agrees to anything that stops or reduces the genocide, they’ll kickoff a coup. So I’m not optimistic that any president in our lifetime will finally put an end to this, and words amount to nothing.

I’m gonna wager that the result is the same at the end of the day because the same amount of bombs fall. I see a trend. “Delayed”, “temporarily delayed”, “threatened to withhold”.

Sounds like some liberal shit. The same folks that probably shame third party voters and are okay with third parties being blocked from getting a place on the ballot.

Republican Party: openly supports Israel and pushes for the genocide. Continues to fund Israel. States all of this stuff. Overt.

Democratic Party: covertly continues to fund Israel, but knows that they can’t publicly say that. So they frame it with bullshit platitudes like asking Netanyahu to “reduce civilian casualties”. They’ll use the term “ceasefire” but will never push a true ceasefire. Covert.

Obligatory notes:

  • No I’m not funded by Russia. I’m just some dude living in the US that has followed politics and police brutality stuff for ages.
  • No, I don’t support tankie shit; I follow socialist and Marxist philosophies, but authoritarianism can fuck all the way off.
  • Vote shaming is for people that can’t face reality. It’s anti-working class bullshit that the ruling class benefits from. It’s okay to criticize your party. They work for you.
  • I’m not magically endorsing Trump and the republicans because I stated some hard truths about the Democratic Party. If you think that’s the case, I implore you to put aside the kindergarten-level logic and get real.

I used to believe this until I came to the conclusion that the ruling class won’t ever allow their powers to be reduced or removed.

I have unlimited and I’ve seen a few people take 2 weeks off consecutively. So it seems like the company is pretty flexible and doesn’t put artificial limitations on it. That said, I’m pretty sure even a month off wouldn’t fix the damage that’s been done to my brain from years stacked upon years of redlining it to write code and solve problems. I find as I get older I need more time off to truly disconnect.

“We’ll keep the genocide going but change our public language to make it sound like a ceasefire is on the table.”

I’m in tech and could never take myself seriously ever again if I built this.

They say it because it makes them feel better. Deep down they know that their vote most likely means nothing within a system where the duopoly will never allow their power to be voted away. They say things like this to quell their own feelings of powerlessness.

I don’t need to justify anything. History has already shown us how this will go, even if it’s a slow, arduous process.

Keep trying to paint “the left” with sweeping generalizations as violence lovers while claiming not to be right wing.

Yep. It’s absolutely not sustainable in any form. That’s what people don’t realize. It’s why we’re seeing enshittification of everything now. Companies are hitting a ceiling where innovation stalls but they’re still required to grow regardless. So they resort to essentially slowly burning down their own house and shitting where they eat. Marx and others predicted this ages ago and now we’re seeing it play out in real time.

The problem with capitalism is that we have one giant bucket for companies to pull from and none of those companies give a flying fuck about the bucket itself. So they keep taking from it collectively. Eventually the bucket will be empty and none of them will be held responsible. This is exactly why we had the Great Depression and the 2008 housing market crash. The capitalists redlined every engine until they were non-functioning. Now the working class is forced to clean up the mess, while facing the repercussions of it all.

It’s not even a hard thing to comprehend. This is how parasites work. They drain the host until it’s either dead or useless to them, then they move to a new host. The problem is that earth is the host and unless capitalists figure out how to start space mining, we’re all fucked. Because, again, they continue to take resources while taking no responsibility.

A meme that shows an image of Jordan Peterson on the left, and Henry Rollins on the right. The title at the top reads:

Why listen to glorified motivational speaker Jordan Peterson when you can just listen to Henry Rollins

The left column below Peterson reads:

  • Thinks there is a "crisis in masculinity"
  • Insists that the "hero's journey" is a long, strenuous process
  • Never collaborated with Tool
  • Zero scene cred
  • Writes self-help books

The right column below Rollins reads:

  • Never belittles or puts you down for your inner turmoil
  • "Hero time starts. Right. Now."
  • Provided a visceral monologue on Tool's debut album
  • Well respected in the music scene
  • Writes about his travels and interacting with foreign cultures

I recently started playing GTAV again and sometimes I’ll get in my car and let the radio stations play while I do house stuff. Favorite stations are the 80s one with Kenny Loggins, and West Coast Classics and Rock Radio.

He’s been doing this ever since we got him and I hope he never stops. Bonus thumbs!
