As someone who frequently skips meals i plore you to ask.

“Why am i skipping these meals?”

If you woke up, not by technological but by biological clock and had no rush to get things done or go anywhere…

If you ever made sushi at home. Take leftover rice, put it on some plastic foil, put a spoon of filling inside and roll the plastic foil into a condensed ball.

slap a nori piece on it just before eating (so it stays crisp).

Enjoy the next best thing after sushi. And sometimes its better then sushi.

So where am i supposed to mount my permanent other file systems?

I used to mount them to home, after realizing how much headache that was causing i moved them to mnt. Surely that makes the most sense?

Upvote because disco elysium.

Storytelling aside, such great sound designs

Other then the fact that its the state religion of Israel and the supposed location of some “promised” land.

What do jews in the rest of the world have to do with it.

Surely any decent human being regardless of cultural background understands that bombing schools and hospitals isn't very neighborly.

While mildly entertaining i doubt if anyone would really read such in full as a real article.

Editorial Report: Trump's Debate Announcement Raises Eyebrows

Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to announce an upcoming debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. The announcement, however, was far from a straightforward press release, instead serving as a microcosm of Trump's combative political style and ongoing feuds with the media and his political opponents.

Debate Details Amid Political Jabs

Trump claims to have reached an agreement for a debate with Harris, scheduled for September 10th in Philadelphia, to be broadcast on ABC. However, the former president couldn't resist taking a swipe at the network, labeling it "ABC FAKE NEWS" and describing it as "the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business." This continued antagonism towards mainstream media outlets has been a hallmark of Trump's political career and appears unabated.

The debate rules, according to Trump, will mirror those of a previous CNN debate. In what seems to be a dig at President Biden, Trump suggests these rules "seemed to work out well for everyone except, perhaps, Crooked Joe Biden." The use of the pejorative nickname "Crooked" for Biden indicates that Trump is maintaining his strategy of assigning unflattering monikers to his political rivals.

Format and Fairness Concerns

Trump emphasizes that the debate will be "stand up," with candidates prohibited from using notes or "cheat sheets." This framing implies a preference for spontaneity and perhaps a criticism of prepared remarks. He also claims to have received assurances from ABC about the debate's fairness, specifically mentioning that neither side will receive questions in advance. The parenthetical "(No Donna Brazile!)" likely refers to the 2016 controversy where Brazile, then a CNN contributor, was accused of providing debate questions to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Jabs at Harris and Negotiations in Progress

In a particularly pointed comment, Trump alleges that Harris declined a September 4th debate on Fox News. He frames this as potential indecisiveness, stating the date remains open in case Harris "changes her mind or, Flip Flops, as she has done on every single one of her long held and cherished policy beliefs." This accusation of inconsistency is a common political attack, though the sweeping nature of Trump's claim is characteristically hyperbolic.

Trump also mentions the possibility of a third debate on NBC, again using the term "FAKE NEWS" to describe the network. He states that this potential debate "has not been agreed to by the Radical Left," a term he repeatedly uses to refer to his Democratic opponents.

Analysis

Trump's announcement, while ostensibly about a debate agreement, serves multiple purposes. It's a platform for him to:

  1. Reinforce his adversarial stance towards mainstream media
  2. Attack his political opponents, both directly (Harris, Biden) and indirectly ("Radical Left Democrats")
  3. Position himself as a strong, decisive figure willing to engage in direct debate
  4. Raise doubts about his opponents' consistency and willingness to debate

The confrontational tone and use of nicknames and labels ("Comrade Kamala Harris," "Crooked Joe Biden," "Radical Left") are consistent with Trump's communication style throughout his political career. This approach continues to energize his base while potentially alienating moderate voters.

It's worth noting that as of our last update, there has been no confirmation from Harris's team or the Democratic Party about this debate. Given the unorthodox nature of the announcement and Trump's history of making unverified claims, it would be prudent to seek corroboration from other sources before considering this debate as confirmed.

The announcement concludes with an all-caps "GOD BLESS AMERICA!" – a patriotic flourish that has become a standard sign-off in Trump's communications, possibly aimed at reinforcing his image as a patriotic figure.

As the 2024 election cycle heats up, this announcement, regardless of its accuracy, signals that Trump intends to maintain the confrontational and unorthodox communication style that defined his previous campaigns and presidency.

Hello Privacy Subscribers of Lemmy, I'm Webhost0101. With the help of ChatGPT, I've been exploring the challenges we face with digital identity, particularly regarding the use of email addresses. I've developed a concept aimed at enhancing privacy and security in our digital interactions.

Identifying the Problem: Our dependence on email addresses as universal identifiers exposes us to various privacy and security risks. The dual nature of emails - serving both as identifiers and gateways to personal communication - presents a significant challenge. The goal is to create a system that can help gradually step away from this bad practice.

The plan

The plan involves converting email addresses into hash codes to serve as digital identifiers, with these codes usable in both digital and physical realms through personalized QR codes. This approach offers a secure and private method for identity verification. While similar systems exist that use QR codes for login purposes, this concept is distinct because it does not store any authentication keys. It only maintains a 'username,' which is the hashed email, and instructions on how to convert an email address into this username. This ensures enhanced security, as the 'Sign' system is designed primarily for identity verification without directly facilitating authentication or access.

The Concept: Creating Your 'Sign'

  1. Initial Step: Visit the 'Sign' website and input your email to start the process.
  2. Email Verification: Receive a unique link via email, confirming your email's validity.
  3. Hash Generation: Use the unique link to select from multiple hashing algorithms or a default option. This generates a hash code, presented as both a string and a QR code, encapsulating the hash and the algorithm/options used.
  4. Optional AI Art Generation: You have the option to generate AI-based art from the QR code, adding a personalized aesthetic touch.
  5. Finalizing the Sign: Enter your 'Sign' into the system, which stores only the sign including the algorithm/options used. No email addresses, names, or URLs are kept.
  6. Receiving Your QR-Art: Obtain a high-quality image of your QR-art for printing on various personal items.

Using 'Sign' for Digital Identification

  • Online Login: On supported platforms, log in with your 'Sign' rather than your email address. The service checks for a corresponding email in their database that produces the same hash with the chosen algorithm/options. Services can eventually replace emails with 'Signs' for regular users.
  • Real-Life Usage: In physical stores, use your QR-art 'Sign' when asked if you have an account/booked at table.

Security and Privacy Considerations

  • Robust Encryption and Data Protection: Implement strong encryption and secure data handling practices.
  • Multifactor Verification: Use the 'Sign' as part of a multifactor identification process, alongside other verification methods.
  • Handling Hash Collisions: Establish protocols to manage the unlikely event of hash collisions, ensuring system integrity.

Advantages and Use Cases

  • Enhanced Privacy: Limits the need to share email addresses, reducing spam and data breach risks.
  • Versatility: Applicable both online and offline, enhancing convenience.
  • Personalization: The AI-generated art offers a unique, personal touch to each 'Sign'.

Conclusion: The 'Sign' system proposes a novel approach to digital identity, focusing on privacy, security, and user convenience. It represents a potential step forward in how we handle and protect our digital identifiers across various settings.
