I'm curious now how a mammal develops in an external egg. The process seems so weird.

I finished refactoring the script today.

It leverages fzf as a local video selection frontend for mpv. Additionally the script uses ffprobe and the kitty protocol to grab and display preview information and thumbnail.

The script also has an alternative mode, that instead lists local playlists for quick access.

Yes, but I'm not paying $50 for that.

After I switched and got used to a tiling WM, it's really painful to have to use a floating one.

I keep hearing about him, it seems like he's involved with a lot of newer games?

I don't disagree, I was just commenting from the angle of how enthusiastic many are about ThinkPads.

I don't know too much about Chromebooks myself, so I look forward to the banter in order to learn more.

Hot take. 🍿

I recently created a handful of scripts for polybar, to add some missing functionality that I wanted.

  • VPN status
  • dual battery info
  • connected bluetooth devices
  • available package updates

Thought I might share, in case anyone finds them useful or wants to modify them for other use cases.

Cheers!

Why do people make the "smooching" noise when kissing? It seems like it takes at least a little intentional effort to make that noise. Is it weird to make out but not make the noise?

Anyone ever have cryptsetup just start hanging after entering password on boot? This seems like it's going to be a fun issue to try to resolve...

I use Debian flavors for my daily drivers. I have no complaints, no real desire to switch it up on that front.

However, I am starting to get into self-hosting and homelab projects. I'd like to start test driving some light-weight distros of a different flavor.

I'd prefer a GUI be available, but the environment and WM is pretty inconsequential-- except it shouldn't be bloated. I'll install any additional apps I want, I don't need a curated mid-to-heavy-weight distro.

The plan is to make heavy use of Docker images, to try to maintain a clean and modular setup of services. If that makes any difference.

Suggestions? Any slim distros you're just gaga for?

I bought my first new car about a month ago. I found out car manufacturers basicaly put only 1 or 2 coats of paint on cars these days, so that if you even look at the car wrong, it will scratch and you'll have to take it in for touch up.

So I'm gonna do that, but then also shell out for PPF on the doors, fenders, and hood. When I shouldn't have to, and never worried about on my older cars.

Is this new? This is the first time Reddit has ever flagged me for using a VPN, trying to force me into signing in/up.

I was just following some search links, from DDG.
