Except she is part of the reason for the existence of "crystal moms", so it's more like that phenomenon where AIs are trained on data generated by other AIs
Oh great, they're self-replicating now.
I was initially going to argue that crystal clutching kooks had been around forever and she just popularized it among a certain population, but then I realized what segment of the population that was.
I'm now picturing a future where humans learn and use behaviour from AIs that are just not that good at reproducing human behaviour.
The future sounds confusing
She definitely broadcast that message wider and converted some amount of people who weren't already on that path.

Also I wasn't claiming she invented it, just that she is the reason a lot of them exist.
My mother went to college with crystal people, in the 70s. It's been a thing for a good long while
