I stumbled on a reel yesterday telling people to buy bread at the bakery as the supermarket bread is bad.
That shit costs 3 times as much for a single loaf, wtf do you want me to eat for the remaining 3 weeks of the month then? Do i just power through them on an empty stomach?
First of all, don't watch reels. Second of all, it's getting cheaper to just bake bread with flour, water, and yeast. Even when you include your time.
This is the end result of out-of-control inflation. Now they sell some crappy cookies at the supermarket for like $1 dollar each. A cookie at a bakery is $3 to $6 for one! Baking your own costs $30. That will make at least 4 dozen and taste better than most others. You can watch TV while doing it!
This is the real way to say "fuck em". Make your own bread and you can do it easier and cheaper.
