As the title says I’m curious if my peers love or loathe driving?

I’ve been able to drive for a few years but never really needed to until I got a job which is 45 miles away.

I absolutely love it and I can’t explain why. It’s quite cathartic, there lots of stimulation and it’s fun to watch all the other cars.

I get to drive through lots of poor traffic jams then on to country roads with lots of cows to shout good morning to.

My friends said I’d get bored of it eventually, spoiler: they’re never right, yet I’ve been doing 500 miles a week for a few months and it’s still so much fun. I don’t care about the weather or the traffic I just like being in the car.

I used to drive a lot, and other than traffic, I enjoyed it, especially when I had a fun little manual. I live in the middle of a city with decent public transportation now, and with all the traffic, driving is only enjoyable if I'm leaving the city. I no longer even own a car, so when I do drive, it's an unfamiliar vehicle and unfamiliar roads, so the first few hours are pretty stressful. I've been considering owning a car again, but I'm fantasizing that full self driving will be a thing by then. Lol.

Yeah I can imagine it’s stressful in different cars.

I was stressed at first as I needed to know what all the buttons did and what everything meant. Like some people are happy not knowing but I found it strange how you can get a car and drive away without knowing how to turn on the lights for instance.

On the FSD cars, I used to think it would happen but I don’t anymore. For that we would have to have no humans driving at all and I don’t see how it happens.
