Yes. It's part of a normal place setting.

I'm not even using plates. I mostly cook one meal at a time and eat straight from the pot. I'm almost 30.

I use a plate. But just the one plate. I had friends over a while back and had to wash my other plates before serving. They were covered with dust.

I’m 40 and I have them on my dinner table, but usually eat on the couch. I am the placemat I guess. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

A pizza box is its own plate.

I don't even use a table

Yep we use placemats in our house. It was the first chore we ever gave to my daughter - to gather up the placemats after dinner and put them away in the drawer. I'm 37 by the way.

Yes. We have a glass tabletop, so without placemats everything is loud and could scratch the table. Upside of the glass tabletop, aside from the look, is cleaning it is super easy with glass cleaner (not Windex).

30 and only some times during celebrations or when using surfaces that can't handle being used.

Late 20s and no, never used those at home.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on how we’re feeling. 40s.

I got one of those heat proof table cloth protector thingos. Now my whole table is a placemat.

I don't even at at a table most of the time... I'm 38 and eat most meals in my bed.

That sounds crummy....

I'll see myself out.

I'm trying to remember what it was from where a dude is eating cookies in bed, gets some crumbs on the sheet, then just pulls out a mini vacuum cleaner from his night stand and cleans it up.

That's basically me.

Did you ever remember?
