Reading the title, I wasn’t sure if it was a sex thing or if he was demonstrating the cleanliness of German public toilets.

In one clip, Neumaier was seen singing the Nazi-era German national anthem along with ...

I find this more so much more disturbing

It's still the German anthem, it's not especially Nazi.

Are you saying the modern German anthem is the same as the Nazi era German anthem?

More or less. The Deutschlandlied) is the hymn of Germany since before the Nazi era, wasn't changed by the Nazis and still is today. But today only the third stanza is officially the hymn. However, people often sing the first one, which is the most well known.

During the Nazi era, there were a second hymn, which is more directly linked to this ideology.

The "Horst-Wessel-Lied", also known by its opening words "Die Fahne hoch", was the anthem of the Nazi Party from 1930 to 1945. From 1933 to 1945, the Nazis made it the de-facto co-national anthem of Nazi Germany, along with the first stanza of the "Deutschlandlied". The "Horst-Wessel-Lied" has been banned in Germany and Austria since the end of World War II.

Yes. But this politician sang the Deutschlandlied, not the Horst-Wessel-Lied.

Martin Neumaier, The Free Democratic Party (FDP) candidate for the district of Ostalb

Licking toilets is a fetish with no other people involved or harmed. Gross is an understatement in this case but whatever.

Much bigger problem is fdp, those are a highly professionalised bunch of assholes who systematically destroy democracy and sense of community in Germany. They are a threat to the country like cdu and afd.
