Yeah what do you do when your subject of reporting is uttering useless bullshit.
You stop wasting time, effort, and space documenting his every inane uttering.
Well he is the running candidate for potus, so people might be interested about his rambling; if only to see that he is a nutjob.
Nope. Everyone who wants to already knows. At this point it's extremely difficult NOT to even if you're actively trying.
To add an inconsequential non-story like this is taking up energy and attention that could be used elsewhere without giving ANYTHING in return.
The article isn't "Trump may or may not debate Harris," it's "Trump said 'I may or may not debate Harris.'" Two different articles, one deserving to be printed and the other not.
He's never said anything of substance. He can't possibly debate someone who is all substance.
He's afraid.
Honestly, he pulled this shit in the past two elections, and I hope Harris just shows up and answers questions. Free air time.

Translation: "I'm going to delay and make every excuse for as long as possible, and only debate her if all of that fails."
Maybe is a good strategy to avoid debating with her, avoiding giving her attention could be good for his campaign.

Hiding in ambiguity, I see. He thinks that by saying maybe he can deflect attacks for not debating Harris. "I never said I wouldn't debate her."
But he won't debate her.
The only case for not is him getting his ass handed to him.
