Can we not have clickbait titles on the Fediverse?

I just downvote clickbaits and move on to the next post.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work in Beehaw.

Warehouse… it’s a gui fronted to a ton of flatpak features.

It’s not your fault that the site used a clickbait title but you do have the option to think up another one.

Downvotes don't work on Beehaw

Is the author of that ~~article~~ clickbait garbage actually not aware of KDE Discover, Gnome Software, bauh, and likely others? It has been possible to manage flatpak remotes and packages via GUI for years ...

How do you manage flatpak remotes with Gnome Software?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Sorry, I am too much of a KDE user to answer that question. In Discover you can add, remove, and order remotes via settings in the GUI. I'd assume it would be the same in Gnome Software, but I might assume wrong. If your distro does not ship it by default, you'll need to install a plugin.

As far as my experience goes, all you can do with Gnome Software is to install and uninstall software from various sources which need to be added separately. There's no option to manage any remotes/sources even with flatpak support installed. I hoped to be proven wrong.

Good point, silverblue doesn't have rpm's in its gnome-software though
