It doesn't really matter whether these missiles can sink a ship or not. The goal is to discourage shipping through the Suez Canal and that goal is being achieved. Companies are increasingly avoiding using this route when shipping stuff to Israel. Eilat port revenue has dropped 80% since the attacks started.
