As Ron DeSantis braved Iowa’s icy roads and temperatures well below zero to meet supporters in a small community room, he faced an awkward encounter.

A comedian carrying a gold trophy interrupted to walk up and thank the Republican presidential candidate for his “participation” in the 2024 race.

It's completely real.

I've talked to people who were 100% like that.

They thought they were patriots, but in the next breath they talk about the liberals or the jews... and often in the same sort of tone.

If that's real, I wonder if that "patriot" found out. Also, I wish the "liberal media" was even remotely this truthful about the Republican Party...

Stop linking shitter. Which clip is it?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 8 months ago

If I knew where else to find it I would link that. If you’re too scared to click a twitter link then you don’t deserve to know what clip it is.

"But he still believes he can surprise the critics, and the polls. “I will brave whatever is thrown at me,” he said. “Nothing is handed to you in life.”" I mean, they guy did try to hand him a participation trophy, and DeS wouldn't 'brave' it.

This is too rich. Why is she blathering also?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 8 months ago (1 children)

She had to get out the line they prepared... "30 below and here we go." Said it twice to be sure everyone heard.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Literally 30 points below in the result.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Couldn't contain it?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

Almost an Anita Bryant moment but no pie.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 8 months ago (4 children)

I'm so psyched people are still talking about this. That was a relative of mine who threw the pie in her face!! My mom is always so proud to tell that story and now I get to be proud too 😄

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago (2 children)

I wonder what happened to the guy who threw his shoes at Dubya...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Actually me too! I couldn't find anything after like 5 minutes though

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

That is great! You need to always tell that story.

Contrapoints has a great video featuring her heavily. I'd like the video but people should just search Contrapoints and watch whatever they find because it's all good.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

That's awesome I love Contrapoints. I'll look for it.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

You should be proud. That was one of the best pieings of all time

He’s doing the move I used to do when my mom would introduce me to her friends, nudge her to start talking for me and look at the ground.
