All three great answers. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I’ve been trying to get my wife to watch Se7en or Usual Suspects for years.

I definitely think this movie popularized the “but it needs a twist at the end” trend.

Yes! I think this qualifies.

I loved Memento, very good example.

The closest I’ve watched in the last decade to something like this may be BBC’s Sherlock. Does that fall in the same category?

I’ve watched shows, movies, read comics or listened to podcasts where there is a lot of build up around a mystery, only for the end to be lackluster. In these the journey itself was more riveting than where we ended up. What are some instances where the answer lived up to the hype?

I was trying to think of which games created certain mechanics that became popular and copied by future games in the industry.

The most famous one that comes to my mind is Assassin’s Creed, with the tower climbing for map information.

Apologies if this has been asked before, the search wasn’t returning much. But is it possible to post lists in a comment through the voyager app?

So the bios update wouldn’t already put my chip within safer operating parameters? I also have to undervolt it?

I assume car manufacturers would try to stop this by saying people would just load up video games or netflix on their dashboards while they drive. Even though you could probably do that now already, if you really wanted to.

I have an Intel Core i9-14900K 3.2 GHz 24-Core LGA 1700 Processor purchased in March. Is there any guesses for the window yet of potential affected CPUs?

Anyway to make the all page more diverse? I feel like it’s just 10 communities that appear there and it’s basically broken down to tech, memes and politics. I’m on lemmy.world and ysint voyager. Every once in a while I see stuff from sh.itjust.works.

I know when I used to use kbin, you first had to let your device sync with other instances before they started populating onto your feed.

Yeah, looks really cool. Looks like ori meets okami meets Hollow Knight.

In memory of the Apollo app.

I was trying to figure out how many generations could theoretically exist at the same time, so I decided to first check Guinness. Hopefully I did all the math correctly.
