I'm not championing tax cuts for the elite, they should be taxed, I just think we need to fix the government first, or the taxes will be pointless.

Great, and when that money disappears into contracts for their friends and donors, which do nothing for everyday people, then what? The rich got punished (yay!), and it did nothing for anyone else. Sounds pointless.

So they don't give out billions to friends and donors, who then give them money to influence them?

You're right, it doesn't go directly to them, but strangely enough, most federal level politicians get richer while in office.

Actually, you know what? Stay ignorant, and keep voting in the people who are looking to make themselves richer. It's worked so far, so why do anything different, right? I'm sure they'll get around to taxing the rich..... someday. /S

So all the millionaires in Congress aren't rich? Damn.

So we can tax the rich for the money right? And where does that money go? Oh ya, to the government, who does whatever they want with it, making themselves, their friends, and donors, richer. That'll definitely help us /s

That's been my guess for quite awhile now. His platform didn't make a ton of sense, and he frequently said similar things as Trump, while not wanting to put down Trump for the most part. Love him or hate him, Christie was one of the loudest voices on the right that talked negatively about Trump. Don't get me wrong he's still garbage, but at least he spoke out against him, which is tough for a Republican candidate to do. Vivek on more than one occasion refused to do that. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as the VP pick.

Or to the friends, family, or donors of the politicians. I have no idea why you're getting down voted. The only thing I can think of is that people seem to be under the impression that taxing the rich will put more money into their own pockets, which definitely won't happen. The government is too corrupt to allow that to happen. Taxing the rich is a good thing, but it won't help the rest of us, not with the way the government has been run for multiple decades.

From the article:

Police said the gunman was inspired by “a terrible event abroad”. In one post, he cited a 14-year-old Russian school shooter who killed one classmate and wounded five others as an inspiration.>

When going to the "Remove Ads" link in settings, or in the menu, it takes me to this page where I can't click on anything. I'd love to donate, and I'd love to eliminate ads, but it's preventing me from doing so. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? I had removed ads from Boost for Reddit, so did that carry over maybe? If so, that's awesome, but I'm not against sending the creator more money, because I love Boost, and want to support him.
