I had a therapist who specialized in working with ADHD adults and she was very good about calling me out on my "shoulds". She would say "who told you that?" or "why do you feel that way?" or "where does that belief come from?" just about every time a "should" came out of my mouth. It was a really good practice in reframing, and making me realize I was feeling external pressures by comparing myself to others, or not giving myself the time and space I needed to accomplish the things that would satisy me. I'd encourage everyone in this thread to try getting to the bottom of your "shoulds", it's helped me understand and be kinder to myself.

It was not an uncommon occurrence for people to play as, say, Symmetra, Torb or Hanzo and refuse to switch regardless of the circumstances of play and whether they were able to use those characters effectively. People got reported (and subsequently banned) for throwing matches and griefing constantly if they were on an off-meta or "troll" character in Overwatch 1. Thinking specifically around seasons 1-10 or so.

My cat has literally sprinted in order to get to a room with carpet before he barfs. What the hell is that all about?

My cat loves to be a bongo, there is nothing in the world he loves so much as to have his bum bomped. So rather than lie in my lap or rub his cheek against my hand when he wants attention, he sticks his butt in my face instead. If my face is inaccessible, he makes sure his butt is by my hand or arm so he's constantly in the way if I'm on the computer or working with my hands. If he's near me his butt is pointed towards me. He's a handsome boy so it'd be nice to see the other side of him sometimes.

Here's a picture of the dough from a similar recipe to what I use

If you do a search for "Irish soda bread" you'll get almost all the same kind of pictures of X cut boules with some kind of add ins. Sounds like the brown bread is something different, but it's probably still yummy.

I'm not sure if you've tried making it but the recipes that I have tried all result in a dough that's capable of standing on its own as a boule. If you do an image search you can see a lot of images of Irish soda bread with X score marks baked in to their tops, which you couldn't make with a liquid batter.

Yep, Irish soda bread is a quickbread made from a dough with baking soda as the rising agent, and it is absolutely a bread, not a cake.

Yes, the first one is goofy but it did the whole "what would an actually average person do with superhero powers" shtick before it was cool, and managed to make it funny and pretty sweet too.

Maybe I should give buckwheat a try, or shredded latex. I'm probably due for a change but lately I haven't been able to afford any sleep disruption.

Most of mine came from a vendor called Pure Beech that was exclusive to Bed, Bath and Beyond. They are the 100% modal sateen that seems to have been a consumer favorite that doesn't seem to be available anywhere. I have another set from Bedsure in their 100% bamboo that has a similar feel though.

I use down feather pillows, they are easily customizable but they can go "flat" and hard in the middle of the night. Putting your head down on a freshly fluffed one is utterly sublime, though.

I have fallen in love with bamboo rayon pillowcases, (aka modal, aka tencel, aka lyocell). They can be extremely soft and smooth like silk but are much hardier, so you can wash them like normal laundry.

I'll give you that it's been longer than I realized since the base game came out, however, Beyond Earth came out 10 years ago (2014) and Alpha Centauri was 25 years ago.

Don't try to tell me Beyond Earth was a sequel, Stellaris is more of a sequel to SMAC than BE was.
