Dang I never noticed that! My partner has an iPad we use in the kitchen when cooking and that has a really nice landscape mode thankfully... It should exist on phones too though that's unfortunate

Not open source but figured I'd shout out paprika anyway since that's what my partner and I use. It's really handy for us since it syncs between our phones and we can add stuff to the grocery list from either device and it also has meal planning stuff. Similar boat. I've tried with friends on numerous occasions and it's never clicked for me. I will say MH rise and the wolf mounts and weird grapple shot thing got me the closest to getting into one. The movement those 2 afforded made the game feel better to me.

I mean I suppose you can look at it that way. We can't really prove one way or another what he actually wanted. But if we're basing what he wanted on his actions, I don't see how you can pin that one on him. Like he tried to get a public option, the president can't just make universal healthcare. It needs to pass the house and Senate.

Idk about the others in your original comment and I won't pretend to, but it's pretty well documented that he would not have been able to get even a public option. How would he have been able to get universal healthcare if he couldn't even do this?

I won't pretend to be an expert on much of this, but I feel it's wrong to say that he had the power to enact universal healthcare? Obama couldn't even get a public option (which he wanted) because he had to make concessions to get a veto proof majority. I don't see if this was the case that he had the power to enact full blown universal healthcare

It's def not a great look but it's also only 1 former dev. I'm not going to judge the whole team on the words of 1 person who isn't working there anymore

I feel like short of making it free to play and having a complete art style rework this game doesn't have great hopes of ever being relevant. I mean from what I've gathered the gameplay itself is decent to good. But yeah they just misfired so hard with this.

Despite it all, I feel bad for the majority of devs who spent so much of their life working on this and who are likely going to be out of a job. Of course I don't know anything about the inner workings, but I'd be willing to bet it's not most of their fault's that sony had been pushing so hard for live service stuff under their former leadership

I mean that's one way to look at it I suppose. However I don't think the story being secondary to gameplay means we have to discount what is there available to us. Like if you want to ignore it that's fine but I don't think you can say it's wholesale not canon.

Regardless it's not really that important, so if people like the timeline, who cares? Nintendo clearly acknowledges it, and the devs don't use it when making new games. Both can be true
