I honestly won't be surprised if IDF killed more Israeli hostages than Hamas...

Kind of the whole point of hostages was so Israel wouldn't just flatten Gaza because Israel wouldn't know where hostages were.

Except Israel cares more about killing Palestinians than they do saving Israelis. So they just flattened everything anyways

Biden repeated IDF propaganda almost immediately and I don't think he's retracted it since it was proven bullshit

Was gonna make a joke that Kendrick would show up to this too just to call Drake a pedophile again, but it's a pretty eclectric lineup, and he really wouldn't be that out of place.

Kind of surprised he's not actually doing it after reading the link.

Why do people keep asking why it isn't Wayne?

20 years ago, sure, but Wayne just isn't Superbowl level in 2024.

And from what I can see, Wayne hasn't said he even wanted to do it. It's just people from Birdman's label saying it should have been Wayne

A lot of the time they're paid overtime rates by the company and not being paid by the city.

They're private security but still wear cop uniforms, drive cop cars, and often sit in their cars burning gas we pay for with taxes.

Businesses are fine paying it, because it's better than paying taxes for real policing and having to wait.

It's moving to full on privatized policing, gated communities do the same shit rather than pay taxes.

When this stuff happens, it never ends well for anyone, but often eventually results in sociatial progress once the ashes settle.

Cuz cops aren't here to help people, they're here to defend the wealthy's assests...

People have been learning this lesson for decades, it's just most people never have to interact with police outside a rare traffic ticket.

Clinton has spoken at 13 straight Democratic National Conventions, going back to 1976. On Wednesday night he confessed, “I have no idea how many more of these I’ll be able to come to.”

It was a striking admission from a politician whose dominance earned him the nickname The Big Dog. Clinton, who just turned 78, didn’t shrink from his age, instead turning it into a poke at the GOP nominee, declaring, “I’m still younger than Donald Trump.”

He couldn't have said any of that if it was still Biden, because Biden is also older than Bill.

Getting rid of Biden just opened up so much shit, I have no idea why some people wanted to push thru with him. Dems can't get away with openly denying reality like Republicans. That's why Dem voters aren't Republican voters in the first place:

Standards.

While true, even politicians with a D by their name have shown time and time again that they treat fascists with kids gloves and progressives with police batons...

Last time they didn't really bring guns. Next time they're pulling out all the stops, it's naive to think they learned any lesson from 2020 except "we need more guns".

We need National Guard in full kit at the next one. But I'd bet a lot of money the next just has cops in riot gear at the most. Unfortunately I think we'll just have cops in regular uniforms.

It's a real life problem that there's this much discrepancy in how cops treat people protesting a genocide and how they treat fascists actively committing a coup.

Have you heard any politician point out that descripency out besides the handful of progressives?

It seems naive to think trump losing prevents a repeat of what happened last time Trump lost....

It's a very real and very serious threat.

And there's zero reason to act like it just won't happen again

“Those protesters out in the streets have a point,” Biden said. “A lot of innocent people are being killed, on both sides.”

40k dead in Gaza, 10k "missing" which likely means the body hasn't been found...

Israel has less than 2k dead.

While 2k dead is still "a lot" it's incredibly disingenuous to act like it's equally as bad...

But Dems and Republicans united to try and prevent those numbers from even being fucking mentioned...

The legislation passed 269 to 144, offered as an amendment to the State Department appropriations bill by a bipartisan group of lawmakers: Democrats Jared Moskowitz (Florida) and Josh Gottheimer (New Jersey) and Republicans Mike Lawler (New York), Carol Miller (West Virginia) and Joe Wilson (South Carolina).

Sixty-two Democrats joined 207 Republicans in voting “yes,” while 142 Democrats and two Republicans voted against it. The bill is unlikely to pass into law in its current form, as the White House pledged to veto it this week because of a number of Republican riders attached to it.

Harris’ campaign, meanwhile, suggested that her attempted shifts to the center are reflective of how she would try to bring consensus to government.

That explains why she's so reluctant to talk about policy...

We're still using trump as an excuse to move the party to the right. And Harris is really fucking talking about working with Republicans like Biden kept trying.

Fuck the right, give the left what they want and coast into office carrying enough of co gress to actually get shit done. Compromise and run in the middle and we won't have Congress to do anything.

It's throwing in the towel before the fights started. We need to stop trying to avoid a loss and start going for a win, or long term nothing will fundamentally change.
