lmfao of course your family were anticommunist scumbags
Politics is literally the rules of society which are the pressures on human behavior. People behave in a way that the conomic/political system rewards, and avoid behaving in the way it punishes. Amazing that this could be a difficult concept for people to understand, yet here we are.
Oh yeah, I don't think anybody with a functioning brain thinks Turkey would ever get into the EU. At this point, it's not even clear what the benefit would be either given that EU is imploding.
There definitely would have to be solid decommissioning and waste disposal procedures.
It's true waste can be a problem. Incidentally, that's one reason why thorium is a far better fuel since the waste is only dangerous for around 500 years compared to thousands of years for uranium.
My expectation is that NATO's days are numbered. Essentially, NATO serves as a protection racket spearheaded by the United States. With China emerging as the main rival for America, while their proxy conflict with Russia falters, Europe is destined to be discarded so that the US can redirect its focus towards Asia. Turkey, sensing an impending shift in global dynamics, is now diversifying its alliances.
Imagine not being able to understand how selection pressures work. 🤦
Presumably the main concern would be fallout from the reactor if the ship sinks. Kind of hard to think of any other real problems.
The way things are going likely end of this year or early next year. All depends on how long AFU can hold out in Donbas where their lines collapsed.
you can't kill that which you don't have in the first place
In reality, Europe just imports Russian energy through third parties at a markup. All of a sudden countries like India are importing a lot more energy from Russia, and Europe imports a bunch more energy from India while Europeans pretend they're not dependent on Russian energy. Anybody with a functioning brain can see through this circus. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/europe/europe-bought-russian-oil-via-india-at-record-rates-in-2023-despite-ukraine-war/articleshow/106777423.cms
