That’s less than half of the Captain Marvel budget.

LOL, This is the best financial unit of measurement to describe all government spending moving forward.

I feel like this budget could easily be 10x more.

Agreed that we should be finding such projects en masse, but this is for 3 particular projects that are now fully funded, it seems.

Real talk, they should be forcing the oil industry to invest in clean and renewable energy at their own cost

Instead, one of the three for profit businesses they're giving away this $60 million to is literally Chevron

Is accountability involved?

Up until when these businesses don't feel like sticking to their agreements and get their lawyers involved

Instead of forcing oil companies to do it, we should stop all subsideds to oil. The federal government should take control of our renewable energy system since it is a national security threat.

As much as I wish that could be done, it's completely unrealistic.

We will be using oil based products well into the 3200's even if every vehicle became electric tomorrow.

Too many subsidiary products like plastic and various artificial fibers, a plethora of chemicals, life jackets, epoxy's, roof tiles, nylon, dentures, bandages, tape, various thermal linings, and well over 6,000 other massively and widely used products.

Oil can stay with companies that have them. The federal government should be the largest spender in renewable energy. Oil base products will eventually be replaced with time and research. The horse was eventually replaced by cars.

that's an unrealistic expectation though
