Plot twist. You get two left shoes or two right shoes. You have to buy a left one and a right one to get a working pair of shoes and end up with two pairs of the same shoes.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, that’s not too bad.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

For work boots, no. For fashion it would kinda suck.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

One to stock, one to rock.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Idk, if I buy any shoes I want them to last at least 2-3 years. If I get a second pair for free I’d be able to extend that or have one that looks new for special occasions

Libs hate these and insist on using woke, forward pointing guns. They want to make these more manly guns illegal and force us to buy their pathetic "aimable" guns. Check your local gunshop. They'll insist they don't even sell these and never heard of them. The NRA is in on it.

Elective limb amputations, probably.

Extremely large projects/organizations. Say, major infrastructure, or a large mercenary force or a network of nonprofit hospitals or something.

The real costs are in future maintenance, not up-front acquisition, so you really don't want more than you need.

Idk buy 1 subway line get one free sounds pretty dope to me.

Waterbeds. Who tf would want a second king-sized water bed?

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

So. Fun story. We ordered a king size bedroom set online. I’m talking king size frame, two side tables, a dresser, and a chest. The order got β€œlost” somehow. After some calls to customer service, they sent out another set. Fast forward a few weeks, we had not one, not two, but THREE KING SIZE SETS OF FURNITURE sitting in our driveway. The store didn’t want them back, and we ended up selling two of the sets. But man, figuring out where to store all of that was a fun time.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

I bet you made a nice profit on that inconvenience, at least.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Who tf still sleeps in a waterbed??? I thought they all disappeared in the 80s.

Vasectomy. Non-transferable.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Though it is rare, vas deferens can heal afterwards, the process is called spontaneous recanalization or just recanalization...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

And people do reverse them sometimes

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

I got a vasectomy two weeks ago. It still hurts and I'm kind of panicking now, thinking what if it stays like this for the rest of my life. So I need to call the doctor back soon to check what's up, but I've been holding it off for fear that they'll need to open me up again.

So yeah, can confirm. I'm worrying at this very moment that I'll get a second one for free.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Call and check with your doctor if it feels wrong, but it was a full month before I didn't hurt just day to day, and another full month before sports were fully comfortable again.

Everyone is different, and I couldn't tell you if it's really normal or not, but it really does take a while for everything to go back to truly pain free.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks for these comments. I'm going in to get cut in a month, and knowing these expectations will help me understand what's going on.

Yup, sounds like the worst.

Two power naps for the price of one? Don't mind if I do. But seriously, I couldn't go through prep twice. If the surgeon lost his watch in there and needs to do it again then by all means.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I also hate going through prep. Not being able to eat normal food is bad enough, and now I need to down cups and cups of this sickening liquid reminiscent of burnt plastic?

if the surgeon lost his watch in there

Are you implying that the surgeon once stuck his fist into your anus?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I was never awake so I don't know if this happens regularly.

Yeah, the prep is the worst. I'm weak and feel sick pretty much all the time and now I can't even eat. And all that wiping... Jeeez.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Depends on if it's a credit to redeemed later or an immediate thing...

...or like "start prepping the moment you get home for the next one" sort of thing...

Could be pretty okay if you need regular colonoscopy, or it could be Hell; depends on the timing.

The funeral home offers 2-for-1 on the caskets, but the tombstones only come in a club back of three

Don't get me started on the offerings for side-by-side plots, it's cheaper just to get a mass grave if you're buying in bulk

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

That was my first thought too, but I could see a practical married couple jumping at that deal.

Therefore, I'll one up you with child-size coffins.

I disagree. A pre-paid package deal like that is good value. Plan ahead so your loved ones dont have to make a bunch of rushed decsions during a difficult time.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago

We've got a few surgeries here (if that's a thing you buy where you live, anyway), but nobody's mentioned amputations, which would have to be the worst.
