I rather not install applications on my phone when there is a web application. Do people use Lenny's website on their phone? What's your experience if you do?

Have a look at Voyager for Lemmy webapp

You can "instal" it in the option menu.

If you have an Android, you can install it in the Play Store. The app just released today if you wanna give it a go

It has a hard client for IOS via testflight as well.

It's great. Far better experience compared to reddit, the back button needs some work tho.

Agreed on the back button - most annoying is when hou switch post sorting in homepage, go on a post, go back to homepage and it shows the old (default) sorting but thinks the parameters are set to the new one (so you have to switch to another sorting and back to the sorting you wanted).

I used to use it and I've seen other people use it just fine and have no issues. I personally don't like the web app UI when I'm on mobile, but that's not a dig at the web UI and more a matter of preference.

Some apps like wefwef are pwa. I used Liftoff and now I am using Arctius. Both are good

I don't like the Lemmy UI with the standard theme, but someone is making a dracula theme. This looks so much better, I hope there will be a release soon of the native theme

I bounce between apps and the web ui. It works pretty good imo and especially with the right theme. There isn’t a single app that’s incorporated all of the web ui’s features yet.

I use it (on a tablet though so not sure how it is on phone) and it works well honestly.

It doesn't track posts that I have read and that alone is enough to put me off. I figured it wasn't a big deal but then I lose track of where I am when browsing.

Happy with Sync now though.
