Kawaii as fuck!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Is this... not... Babymetal doing a thing?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

No, this is Joshi. Japanese women's wrestling. Like WWE but surprisingly more hardcore????

[–] [email protected] 23 points 8 months ago

I wish I had the energy to find dank wrestling promotions

[–] [email protected] 23 points 8 months ago

This is lit! Get it Japan.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 8 months ago (3 children)

Damn, this does go hard. If we had this in America instead of WWE I'd actually give it a shot

[–] [email protected] 14 points 8 months ago

there are so many promotions in the USA that aren't WWE

like nearly every city with more than 5000 people probably has a wrestling promotion

get wrestle universe for like 8ish dollars and it comes with tokyo joshi pro wrestling. aew also has a number of joshi wrestlers. chocopro broadcasts free on youtube, and you can also get stardom world for whatever 900 yen is :)

edit: oh also pro wrestling eve is women's wrestling out of uk and they're awesome. they have an on demand service on youtube and through their own platform and a lot of current stars went through them including a number of joshi stars.

edit again: also a lot of current stars came up through shimmer. it's not running now but you can find good matches on youtube

I haven’t been following for a while, but last I checked there were a number of Japanese women’s wrestlers that are signed with AEW. Riho was the first AEW Women’s World Champion, and Hikaru Shida held the title for the longest so far. They both started their careers with the Ice Ribbon women’s promotion in Japan.

Edit: I’m also pretty sure I’ve seen Riho pull this exact move. She’s light enough that she can fully commit without causing injury. Absolutely brutal to watch, legit knocks the wind out of people.

Not super current on my Joshi. I think I recognize Maki Itoh, but who is that stomping on her?

[–] [email protected] 25 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Pretty sure it's her long time partner Mizuki. Not the same stomp but here's a good one in video.

Pretty sure it's her in the same gear, but her and Riho have similar gear.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 8 months ago

Yo did she just do that to someone lying on the ground? My ribcage hurts....

Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

Not the same stomp but here's a good one in video.

The rule of this community is that when you find it, you have post something. People include rule in the title so the curious people look it up and then have to post.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 8 months ago

That's funny because it isn't true. The rule is to post "before you leave". Look it up, it's true!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 8 months ago

Ok, I'm ruled now

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Huh, I thought putting rule in the title was part of the rule, but I can’t find a single thing saying so.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I think the original subreddit might have only allowed a title to say "rule". But this community is more creative. I could be wrong though.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

thanks a lot, i had to go post because i checked it :p

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Nope.

No.

That is seriously wrong.

No way.
