Deckard: You're reading a magazine. You come across a full-page nude photo of a girl.

Rachael: Is this testing whether I'm a replicant or a lesbian, Mr. Deckard?

I don't have any experience with AhaDNS Blitz.

With RethinkDNS I have had occasional failures on their Max resolver, changing to Sky then works. That has only happened two times though, and was fixed with a few hours.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Have a look at RethinkDNS, https://docs.rethinkdns.com/dns/ their wiki is pretty good. They have recommended block lists, and also have a feature that let's you search inside block lists to see what they actually cover.

If you are on Android they have a companion app, you do not need to use it though. The app adds a good firewall (capture and redirect port 53 for example) and detailed logs if you want. You can block domains and specific IP addresses.

It's all FOSS too

I've had something similar quite a few times.

Meet someone, talk for a bit, "where are you from?" u.s. "really? You don't seem American"

They meant it as a compliment

That's what I use an old phone for. In the kitchen it's a timer, notepad, and music player. I read the news on it while having coffee.

I could do that all on my main phone of course but if I'm cooking or having coffee my main phone is both off and elsewhere. I don't like to be disturbed.

Oh, and I use it to test apps before they go on my main phone.

If you are OK opening things up and can use a soldering iron you could put a physical switch on the microphone.

I very much doubt it's malware. This is from the same developer as DivestOS, Mull, Mulch, etc.

It's offline except when you update databases. Nothing in firewall logs except when you update. App Manager scans look clean.

Wired is soft paywall too. Clearing cookies works

This isn't a Firefox issue.

I don't use Brave search, but usually search engine preferences are stored in a local cookie. Are you deleting cookies on quit by any chance?

What is this, and why are there so many requests to it?

I have searched and those lead to mostly stack overflow questions for developers, not users.

I block all google and googleapi requests, this seems to slow the app down.

I really like this update.

It's in settings> appearance

Thanks for your great work
